GUEST ARTICLE – Insights into the new “Circolare 9962”

An important document, called “Circolare 9962: Implementation of alternative solutions for fire resistance: Clarifications and applications” (from here on called C.9962), has recently been published by the Italian National Fire Rescue and Service (the authority having jurisdiction – AHJ- for topics related to fire safety). The C.9962 adds some explanations and some insights into the Italian national fire safety regulations.

In a recent article available in the European Fire Safety Community, the two authors Marco Antonelli and Piergiacomo Cancelliere present four main points of the Circolare 9962.
