The Facades Advisory Panel of the European Fire Safety Community is releasing the second episode of its Podcast called “The Facades Files”.

The second episode is titled “How can we change facades fire safety for the better?”.

In this episode, we exchange with Mr Andrei Corches, who is a fire safety expert at ROCKWOOL Group and has a background in fire safety engineering working both with prescriptive and performance-based design methods. He is also the appointed Chair of the Advisory Panel on facades of the European Fire Safety Community.

Together, we reflect on how we can change facades fire safety for the better and touch upon the current challenges for facades fire safety, as well as discuss on facades fire safety at EU level.

The Facades Advisory Panel is a high-level group which brings together FSEU Community Members to work on the topic of facades fire safety. Its objectives are to:

  • Discuss the latest evolutions on facades;
  • Compare regulations and standards;
  • Exchange views on new technologies;
  • Be informed of the European Commission’s Fire Information Exchange Platform work on facades;
  • Get regular updates on the development of a European approach to assess the fire performance of facades.
