As announced in the European Green Deal, the Commission adopted on 14 October 2020 a strategic Communication “Renovation Wave for Europe – greening our buildings, creating jobs, improving lives”. It contains an action plan with specific regulatory, financing and enabling measures for the years to come and pursues the aim to at least double the annual energy renovation rate of buildings by 2030 and to foster deep renovations. This goal requires a revision of the relevant EU legal act, the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive 2010/31/EU (EPBD). The revision will focus on provisions that are central to boosting building renovation.
The Commission gathered the public’s view on the Inception Impact Assessment of the EPBD (22 February – 22 March) and launched a public consultation on the revision of the directive (30 March – 22 June). In addition, DG ENER would like to invite you to participate in the fourth workshop of a series of 5 stakeholder workshops:
Workshop 4: Fostering the green & digital transitions
When: Wednesday 19 May 2021, from 9h00 to 12h00, CET
The aim of these workshops is to get the feedback from the stakeholders interested in providing relevant input to each thematic. In order to facilitate an interactive and engaging workshop, questions have been prepared (see below) which you are invited to send to the project team in writing. During the sessions of the workshop, you will be invited to answer the questions in a concise way. Please ensure that your audio and camera are off until you are invited to speak, particularly when first joining the workshop.
Pre-registration is required to participate in this webinar. To accept the invite and confirm your interest, please register via this link (https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZIufu6srjkuEtTlhoPiugtqnHYkkZS7HZWr).
A preliminary agenda for Workshop 4 is provided in below. The event is organised by a team of consultants from Trinomics, Guidehouse, Öko-Institut and Ricardo, selected by the Commission for providing support to the impact assessment and the stakeholder consultation process.
